Overview
Three days in Amboseli National Park is a popular choice for a safari. Amboseli NP is one of Africa’s bucket-list destinations. And for good reason; this is the location of the quintessential African image of a huge herd of elephants walking in front of the snow-capped peaks of Mt Kilimanjaro. While elephants are the main attraction, there is plenty of other wildlife too. The open terrain makes for easy viewing, and the central wetlands make the park an excellent birding hot spot too.
Amboseli national park is often incorporated into a longer Kenyan safari covering several parks and reserves, but it is also a suitable destination for a short trip. The park’s relatively small size makes it easy to explore on a 4-day tour.

Tour Itinerary
Depart Nairobi in the early morning by road through the scenic Athi plains and into the bush country of Amboseli National Park, arriving at your lodge in time for lunch.
Leave your daily stresses behind and become one with nature as you embark on a late afternoon safari, roaming the park’s iconic plains among the large-tusked elephants and other game. As a fiery sunset descends, return to your lodge for dinner and a good night’s rest.

Today, we will spend a whole day in Amboseli National Park. For the absolute best views of Kilimanjaro, you must wake up for the sunrise. The early morning sun casts Kilimanjaro in a fantastic light, turning its snow pink and its mountainside a deep purple that has to be seen to be believed. It makes a remarkable setting for your breakfast. After breakfast, depart for the park and enjoy a full-day game drive exploring Amboseli National Park. Enjoy your packed lunch at the observation hill inside the park. In the afternoon, exit the park for dinner and overnight stay at your lodge.
